For football we typically install a 45–60mm pile. It gives the ball roll, stud grip and slide tolerance players expect, while holding the infill that keeps the surface stable and cushioned.

For any pitch that takes regular play we strongly recommend one. The shock pad absorbs impact, protects players' joints and delivers consistent ball bounce — it's the layer you feel most in year three when a pitch built without one starts to go hard.

Yes. We install on prepared aggregate, concrete and suitable rooftop decks. We survey the site first, confirm falls and drainage, and spec the build-up to suit the base — rooftop five-a-sides are one of the things we do most across the UAE.

It depends on size and base condition, but most residential and small-sided pitches are completed within a few days once the base is ready. We'll give you a clear programme after the site survey.

Very little compared with natural turf — periodic brushing to keep the pile upright and the infill level, plus the occasional rinse. There's no mowing, watering or reseeding, and we'll leave you with a simple maintenance routine.
